Loved it! So quaint, peaceful and quiet with water resort access right across the road. We really enjoyed the deer that just walked round the area. Our dogs ( on leashes of course) did not know what to think of the deer as the deer just looked up at our dogs for a minute and then went back to their browsing. Our dogs just staring in wonder intermittingly looking up at us seeking reassurance that all is well. It has been a couple of years since we were here and hope to go back again on our next road trip.
What a wonderful place! For camping, the RV sites are flat, the views amazing, the bathrooms clean, shower great pressure.
We loved eating dinner at the restaurant every evening: really good smoked BBQ, burgers, amazing waiters, great beers on tap. Very reasonable prices.
Water access for those staying at the marina was fabulous. We rented a boat, which was easy and the boat great for a 2 hour adventure on the lake. We loved diving in from the end of the dock.
Lastly, the staff and owners were great!
If you’re a fisherman, this RV park and marina is in a good location, right across the street from Siltcoot Lake. However, if you’re wanting a charming place to spend a night or two to hike and explore, this isn’t the place. The campsites are uneven and the fire pit is surrounded by dirt with a few bits of gravel. The shower room was cold because the heater didn’t work. We bought a wheelbarrow of firewood, which turned out to be wet and difficult to get much more than a lot smoke going. Our campsite butted up to a laurel hedge with a house next to it, so much for a charming little campsite. I have to say that this was our first time out in our camper, and the learning curve was steep, but this campsite was expensive and the hosts weren’t very friendly. We won’t be back.
I felt a full hookup rv site. Owners go out of their way to make visitors comfortable. Bathrooms are clean. Food at the cafe is fabulous.
-No food on Mondays and Tuesdays? What?
-Only store for miles
-Hundreds of drinks but not any food?
-Confusing layout. Why is the office sign in front of the store? And why isn't the store sign in view of the road? Idk just a mess from my pov.
This is all an opinion of course. I just can't give it 4 stars. Not a 4 star place. Maybe to drink alcohol at. Then maybe a 4.
Didn't even know it was a hotel
We love this place. Food and service is fantastic. The staff is so friendly and you can tell they all enjoy what they do.
We can leave our boat at the dock and feel that it will be completely safe.
This is our "go to" place every year.
Great little restaurant and excellent BBQ. The staff were all very friendly. I'm definitely going back.
Restaurant closed Monday and Tuesday market is tiny tiny charged 1.50 for a cup of hot chocolate that is in a 8oz cup.. the people who worked there were super nice though and the view of the lake was worth it 100%
